Ambassador Choi Seong Su Visits IKBC

Amb. Choi Seong Su, former Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Iraq and current Secretary General of the Korea-Arab Society, visited the Seoul office of IKBC on 21 May 2026.

 

The visit was attended by Mr. Ali Nawab of IKBC, Dr. Odey Mohammed Mezaal, Commercial Attaché, while Mr. Ahmed Shaban participated virtually via Zoom.

During the meeting, the IKBC team introduced the organization’s ongoing activities and initiatives aimed at strengthening economic, cultural, and institutional cooperation between Iraq and the Republic of Korea. The discussions focused on opportunities for future collaboration, expanding business networks, and enhancing bilateral engagement between the two countries.

 

Ambassador Choi expressed his appreciation for the efforts and achievements of IKBC, describing the organization as a unique platform that plays an important role in promoting cooperation and building stronger ties between Iraq and Korea.

As part of the visit, IKBC presented Ambassador Choi with a traditional Iraqi commemorative plaque as a symbol of appreciation and friendship, recognizing his continued support for Iraqi-Korean relations and cooperation.

 

The meeting was held in a positive and constructive atmosphere, reflecting the shared interest of both sides in further developing cooperation and expanding future partnerships.

 

IKBC extended its appreciation to Ambassador Choi Seong Su for his visit and valued support, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening Iraqi-Korean relations through continued dialogue and cooperation.
