IKBC Member Al Zaman Group Participates in Offshore Korea 2026 to Explore New Opportunities for Iraq
Al Zaman Group, a member of the Iraq–Korea Business Council (IKBC), participated in Offshore Korea 2026, held at BEXCO in Busan, South Korea, from 14 to 15 October 2026, following an invitation from the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) to attend as an international buyer.
Offshore Korea is one of South Korea’s leading exhibitions for the shipbuilding, offshore engineering, marine equipment, and energy industries. The event brought together Korean manufacturers, technology providers, and international buyers, offering an opportunity to discover new technologies, exchange ideas, and explore potential business partnerships.
During the exhibition, representatives of Al Zaman Group met with several Korean companies, gaining valuable insights into the latest developments in marine engineering, offshore equipment, shipbuilding technologies, and advanced industrial solutions.
The meetings provided an opportunity to explore how Korean expertise and innovative technologies could be introduced and applied in Iraq, particularly in support of the country’s growing needs in maritime infrastructure, port development, shipyard facilities, and the wider industrial and energy sectors.
The visit also allowed Al Zaman Group to strengthen its relationships with Korean manufacturers, identify potential suppliers and technology partners, and discuss opportunities for future cooperation in the Iraqi market.
As a member of IKBC, Al Zaman Group’s participation reflects the Council’s wider efforts to encourage closer engagement between Iraqi businesses and Korean industry, helping create practical opportunities for trade, technology transfer, and long-term commercial partnerships.
IKBC appreciates KOTRA’s invitation and its continued efforts to connect international buyers with Korean companies. Such initiatives play an important role in building stronger business relationships and opening new avenues for cooperation between Iraq and the Republic of Korea.
Through the active participation of its members in international exhibitions and business events, IKBC remains committed to bringing Iraqi and Korean companies closer together and supporting the introduction of Korean expertise, technology, and industrial solutions to Iraq.
