Chairman of the Iraq Korea Business Council Receives President of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce to Discuss Enhancing Economic and Trade Cooperation

The Chairman of the Iraq Korea Business Council, Mr Ahmed Shaban, received the President of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, Mr. Amer Al-Fahdawi, at the headquarters of the Iraq Korea Business Council, as part of efforts to strengthen communication and cooperation between Iraqi economic and commercial institutions and to explore prospects for expanding trade and investment relations between Iraq and the Republic of Korea.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of matters related to commercial and economic activities, as well as ways to develop cooperation between the Iraqi-Korean Business Council and the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, in a manner that supports the private sector and opens new channels of communication between Iraqi and Korean businesspeople and companies.

Mr. Amer Al-Fahdawi was also briefed on the key activities of the Iraq Korea Business Council, as well as the efforts undertaken by the Council to build bridges of communication between the business communities of the two countries and promote opportunities for cooperation and partnership across various economic and commercial sectors.

The meeting highlighted the important role that business councils and economic institutions can play in strengthening relations between Iraq and Korea by providing platforms for direct communication, exchanging information and expertise, promoting trade and investment opportunities, and encouraging partnerships between companies and institutions from both sides.

The meeting comes within the framework of the IKBC efforts to strengthen economic relations between Iraq and Korea and develop channels of cooperation with Iraqi economic institutions. These efforts aim to contribute to building more sustainable trade relations and creating new opportunities for cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining continued coordination and communication and developing areas of joint cooperation in a manner that serves mutual economic and commercial interests and supports the growing relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Republic of Korea.
