The Iraq-Korea Business Council (IKBC) conducted an official visit to the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), where representatives of both organizations engaged in productive discussions on strengthening bilateral trade and economic cooperation. During the meeting, IKBC presented its official establishment under the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce (FICC) and shared updates on its ongoing registration process with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) of Korea.

IKBC also briefed KOTRA on the opening of its new office in Hannam-dong, Yongsan District, Seoul—where the Commercial Section of the Iraqi Embassy will be co-located in accordance with the directives of the Iraqi Ministry of Trade. Both sides emphasized their shared commitment to supporting SMEs from Iraq and Korea and to addressing challenges faced by Korean companies operating in the Iraqi market.

This visit marked an important step toward building a strong and collaborative partnership between IKBC and KOTRA.
